Our Programs

Hudson-Landsberg Sister City is dedicated to providing opportunities for the people of both cities to interact and learn from each other. We have three different venues for encouraging connections: youth exchange, scholarships, and citizens travel.

At the high school level, we arrange for travel and a homestay of up to three months. Students from Landsberg usually come during the school year, while students from Hudson usually travel during the summer months. Both groups improve their language skills, learn about other cultures, and collect memories.

Graduating seniors who plan on continuing their study of German at the post-secondary level can apply for a scholarship. These scholarships are awarded in the spring and help defray the cost of books, classes, and travel.

We also organize opportunities for families in Hudson to travel to Landsberg. Our recent trip in the summer of 2019 had 43 participants from Hudson and surrounding cities. The tour started in Marburg and traveled along the Rhein River with stops at Heidelberg, Schwäbisch Hall, Limburg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Salzburg, and München. Homestays in Landsberg were arranged for five nights so participants could form friendships with people in our sister city.
